Attention Kids: Welcome to Loompaland
The Kids Zone is located in Loompaland Alley - a street created to keep children from 2 to 9 years old happy and involved all day at the Book Festival. There is different live interactive entertainment at the microphone every half hour.
Presentations include performances by Yogawood, Buddy's Big Dream, the Bug Lady, Baze and His Silly Friends, a Puppet Show, by the Library Staff, two different Play Shops by Youth Stages, Music by Danny and Kim Adlerman, Kenkojuku Karate, Collingswood Patch, and readings by several children's authors.
The rest of the street is lined with at least 17 exhibits, each one doing something different with the children and giving away free souvenirs. Exhibitors include Winnie Radolan, paper maker, Fit Kids Tumblebus, The Turtle Man, Saddler’s Woods Conservation Center, First Baptist Church of Collingswood, "Free Make Your Own Book,"Abrakadoodle Art Education, ExtraordinaryEd, Fairmont & Queen Village Art Center, Collingswood Patch, duck duck goose and Eilandarts Center, author Chrysa Smith, Paws for Reading sponsored by the Mt. Laurel Library, Garden State Discovery Museum, The Bug Lady's bug collection, and the Collingswood Library Craft Tent.
