10-10:45 a.m. - It’s the Season for Young Poets... sponsored by the Pop Shop restaurant, a reading/contest by poets 7 to 13. Hosted by the well-known poet, Anna Evans.
10:45-Noon: Writing in the Moment poetry prompts workshop/reading (hosted by Dodge Poet B.J. Ward)
Noon to 1: Grand Poetry Slam hosted by Brother Daoud Bey of Arts4Teens... come enjoy... it’s where the fun is done
1 to 1:30: Charles H. Johnson (West Deptford native/Vietnam Vet/Dodge poet) hosted by Tammy Paolino
1:30 to 2: Jazz and poetry/Harlem renaissance/nationally recognized poet, Sandra Turner Barnes performs to a jazz background
2 to 2:30: the poet and educator M.A. Rafey Habib will bring some of his own well-recognized work, his new poems, plus some of the beauty of past Middle East poetry.
2:30 to 3:15:Duo-ling Poets A series of leading poets from this region, performing in interacting pairs... an exciting and lively event... including Anna Evans/Rachel Bunting from the Quick and Dirty Poets and Jersey Fresh (Tammy Paolino and Laurie Granieri)
3:15 to 4: Special Open Mic hosted by special guests, Ron Gaskill and Susan Cavanaugh, Editors of Jerseyworks.com, the popular online poetry center
All Day - 4th Annual Wall of Haiku

The Nick Virgilio Haiku Association will provide pointers. Write your own and see it hung on display…. read what others have done …. the best submissions will be printed in the association’s publication.

Music and graphic shows will be part of the proceedings, so this year the Poetry Tent will be at the Pop Shop's newly opened Party Room on Washington Avenue, just 40 feet from Haddon Avenue, right near where the Poetry Tent is usually set up.
